Between Light and Darkness

• Connection to Category: At Currumbin Rock, the Milky Way still rises, but it has to fight through the glow of the Gold Coast city. Artificial light from nearby urban development and Coolangatta on the horizon brightens the sky, washes out faint stars, and spills enough light across the rocks that no light painting was needed. The scene shows both the beauty that remains and the darkness already lost: an otherworldly wild shoreline, a galactic core, and a night sky visibly diminished by the human footprint.
