A view on the outskirts of the city

• Connection to Category: No matter how magnificent the twinkling stars in the night sky may be, they pale in comparison to the glare of uncontrolled light. Streetlights, yard lights, and other sources are often overlooked and taken for granted; they are not fitted with lampshades or adjusted to prevent light pollution. The result? In this photo, the Large Magellanic Cloud is present, but it appears merely as noise due to the extreme light pollution. The photo was taken using the Google Camera app with a total exposure of 4 minutes (15s x 16 frames) and an ISO of 200.
